Top 10 Leadership Skills That Will Make You Succeed in Network Marketing




In this industry, everything rises and falls on leadership so developing the specific MLM leadership qualities is important to grow and sustain momentum in your team.

Rate yourself honestly from 0 to 10 in each one of these qualities and strive to become a 10 in all of them.

1. As a Leader, you’re organized and self-disciplined. Without discipline, there is no organization. When you’re organized you do things more efficiently and waste less time. Have a daily method of operation and follow it consistently. Discipline is the mother of success.

2. As a Leader, you are committed to work hard and be productive. Work constantly to replace unproductive habits with productive habits. Value your time, and your downline’s time above anything. As an example to your downline, you want to get at least 10 new distributors a month.

3. As a Leader, you are 100% responsible and 100% self-functional. When you do what has to be done you are being responsible. The more you depend on others the less control you have. Make it your goal to become independent from your upline as soon as possible and make your downline have this goal too. Achieving it will make your team’s growth explode.

4. As a Leader, you are honest. You never use others for your own advancement. Be interested in the long-term success of your distributors instead of their short-term productivity. You’re not going to teach things you haven’t done yourself. Honor your commitments.

5. As a Leader, you have total and professional knowledge of the Network Marketing Industry. Be an expert. Know what you’re doing so you can teach others how to do it. If somebody asks you what MLM is, as a leader you must have a simple, direct and convincing answer to give.

6. As a Leader, you maintain a relaxed mental attitude. It simply makes you do your job with more ease and your downline respect you more because it gives a sense of control and mastery. When people respect you, you become more influential and that’s what leadership is all about.

7. As a Leader, you remain true to yourself. You never compromise your values, beliefs and personal Integrity. Your Leadership style reflects your own personality. Work and develop your leadership skills instead of trying to change your personality.

8. As a Leader, you show respect for your upline, downline, and company. You must be supportive of the changes in the company. Treat everybody equally and encourage people on your downline. Talk about your company with total conviction and never show negativity to your downline because it spreads like a virus.

9. As a Leader, you’re constantly teaching others as well as learning. Spend time adding knowledge about your company. Spend time to improve your marketing skills. Spend time to improve yourself. Use every contact with your downline as an opportunity to teach. Be willing to share what you know.

10. As a Leader, you have a strong will. This attribute generates all others. If you’re willing to, you’ll develop any skill. If you’re willing to, you will succeed. And never forget: As a leader, always speak from a position of strength, never from a position of weakness. 

Leadership is a natural consequence of your actions. If you accept the responsibility of leadership instead of seeking the rewards of leadership, you’ll become a leader in less than time. Always focus on doing what’s right, instead of what’s popular and remember that you’re an example to your downline so whatever you do, they will replicate. If you display weakness, they’ll weaken but if you display a strong will, they’ll just go for it!

Joining an online business opportunity can be very exciting and stressful all at the same time. Since there are thousands of different opportunities online, finding the right one can become a bit overwhelming.

The first thing you should be asking about any online opportunity is whether or not it is legitimate. The best way to find out if an opportunity is legitimate is to conduct some research. The easiest way to do this is by simply Googling the opportunity and company name. If you find a ton of information about the opportunity such as reviews and testimonials, this is a good sign that you are dealing with a legitimate opportunity. Online opportunities that have little or no information on the web could be a red flag of a scam. Scams and “fly by night” operations pop-up one day take your money and are gone the next day. Find an opportunity that has information you can compare and base your decision.

2. Do They Offer Help & Support?
Another thing to consider before joining any online opportunity is whether or not they offer help & support. The worst feeling is signing up for an opportunity only to find out that you are completely alone. No support. No help, and out of money. This is not a good feeling! Creating an online business is challenging, without a good support system it becomes even more difficult. 4. Do the products or services add value?
One important factor to consider that is often overlooked is whether the products or services offered through the opportunity are valuable to people. It is really important that the opportunity that you are thinking about joining adds value in some way, shape, or form. An opportunity that does not offer any real value (products or services) is known as a “Pyramid” or “Ponzi” Scheme. Residual income is powerful and allows you to take your earnings to the next level because it allows you to make money over and over again for each sale or referral you make. When you can do anything, often you end up doing nothing. People get so dazzled by dollar signs and freedom from bosses and geography that it’s easy to forget that what you do for money is often more important than how much money you make.

1. Spend time thinking over your creative ideas and invest in careful planning.

2. Decide the goals and vision that matter to you most. Write it down and read it often.

3. Know your goal for now, and know where you want to be for each year to come.

4. Work on one idea at a time. Never splatter out with many ideas. It’s overwhelming.

5. Establish a dotted line of steps to reach short-, medium- and long-term goals.

25 Reasons Network Marketing Is Better



Network Marketing Professionals were always known to have a mindset of a better way in business. Since I got myself into Network Marketing way back 2012, I tried to read a lot of business articles and made friends with some of the local Network Marketers to help myself with this new endeavor.  There are tons of information about Network Marketing out there that would benefit anyone on this field of business but in reality, for most people, just three or five of these advantages would be enough to put all your heart and soul into your network marketing business.  Here they are!

1) Low Cost of Entry – In most cases, you can get into a network marketing company for less than a thousand dollars. 

2) Your Own Schedule – To me, this is one of the most attractive reasons for getting into a Network Marketing opportunity.  Getting to work your own schedule is incredibly appealing and convenient.

3) Tax Benefits for Home – When you have a home business, the tax benefits & savings alone can be greater than the cost of entry to get your business started.

4) Work From Anywhere – Portability – I’m not limited to where I work.  I can choose to work anywhere I want.  If I decide to move, I can.  There are no buildings or customer locales to consider.

5) Friendships – Yes, we all have work friends but the friendships developed through your network marketing company are different. They are based on common goals, common mindset, common objectives, encouragement, beliefs, etc.  I heard people say this before I was a part of network marketing but did not fully grasp it until I experienced this type of friendship.

6) No Employees – You are able to build your business without employees.  The headaches behind having employees in a traditional way are massive!

7) Residual Income – Residual income will allow you to collect revenue even when you are not on the clock.  Most people do not get paid unless they are on the clock, their store is open, they are billing clients or producing products.  Network Marketing is based on residual income.  Like the second point, this aspect was very key to my decision to join network marketing.

8) Security – Many people fear to lose their jobs.  When you have your own network marketing business you always have the stability of your network.  Network Marketing companies have come and gone, but the professional network marketer still has the asset of their network.

9)  No Income Ceiling – There is no income ceiling in Network Marketing.  If you want to double the size of your income you can!  Most local businesses or service companies have some level of a financial ceiling.  Finding opportunities that will not limit you is ideal.

10) Builds Social Skills – You will grow in Network Marketing, especially if you want a large income.  You should grow to become the person who helps others, encourages others and helps others get what they want out of life.  I love this aspect of MLM.

11)  Allows You To Help Others On A Massive Scale – Helping others is important to many people.  MLM allows you to do this and to do it on a large scale.  The ripple effect of your business and your personal impact can touch more people than you will ever know about.  To many, this is incredibly appealing.

12)  Your Personal Growth – Personal development is synonymous with Network Marketing.  The personal growth you have to experience for success is great, creating a better person.

13) No Discrimination Between Men & Women.  Everyone is on a level playing field and all have the same opportunity to succeed, thrive and excel.

14) Support, Help & Encouragement of Others In The Profession – Corporate companies do not provide this atmosphere.  Everyone is trying to climb their own way to the top, clawing their way through others to get there.

15) You Are Your Only Limit – The only limitations are those that you personally put in place.  The responsibility to succeed or fail is all on you.

16) Scalability – You can grow your income & customer base without having to grow your infrastructure.  That’s simply is not possible in a service organization.

17)  No Corporate Ladder – When people are trying to climb the corporate ladder there are always limited positions, meaning someone succeeds and someone does not.  Network Marketing allows all to succeed to build their business.

19)  Quickly Profitable – It doesn’t take people very long to become profitable in Network Marketing.  That is certainly not the case in most franchise or for most startups.

21) Leverage Time / Network – Because of the structure of the business, you are able to leverage your time by leveraging your network.

22) Training Readily Available – Because Network Marketing is a system and so many independent distributors are involved, training is typically at your fingertips.  Opening your own business and there are constant trials and errors.  Network Marketing is a system that you buy into and is easy to duplicate and teach.

23) International Possibilities – Most Network Marketing companies allow you to build teams Internationally.  This means you can have an international business very easily.  Think of the possibilities with this – you can travel abroad building your team and organization, writing off the cost of the travel as a legitimate business expense.

24) No Billing / Accounts Receivables – Because transactions are now mostly handled online, you do not have to worry about accounts receivables or even sending out invoices.  If you have ever been in a business that had to bill its customer base, you know what a cash flow nightmare this is.

25) You Are Building Your Own Dream – For many years I worked for someone else.  And while I loved it, I was building someone else’s dream and fortune.  I must say, it’s much more fun building your own dream than building someone else’s dream.
