5 Things to Consider Before Joining Any Online Business Opportunity

Joining an online business opportunity can be very exciting and stressful all at the same time. Since there are thousands of different opportunities online, finding the right one can become a bit overwhelming.

To make this process easier for you, below are the top 5 things you should consider before joining any online business opportunity.

1. Is the opportunity legitimate?
The first thing you should be asking about any online opportunity is whether or not it is legitimate. In order to save yourself the trouble of being scammed and losing money, it is important to do some due diligence before joining any online opportunity. The best way to find out if an opportunity is legitimate is to conduct some research. The easiest way to do this is by simply Googling the opportunity and company name. If you find a ton of information about the opportunity such as reviews and testimonials, this is a good sign that you are dealing with a legitimate opportunity. Online opportunities that have little or no information on the web could be a red flag of a scam. Scams and “fly by night” operations pop-up one day take your money and are gone the next day. Find an opportunity that has information you can compare and base your decision.

2. Do They Offer Help & Support?
Another thing to consider before joining any online opportunity is whether or not they offer help & support. The worst feeling is signing up for an opportunity only to find out that you are completely alone. No support. No help, and out of money. This is not a good feeling! Creating an online business is challenging, without a good support system it becomes even more difficult. Below are three questions to ask about the opportunity, if you can answer yes to all three then this is a good sign that the opportunity has a good support system.
1. Is someone available to answer questions in a timely manner?
2. Is training offered?
3. Does the program offer members a platform to communicate with each other?

3. What does it cost?
Depending on the type of opportunity that you are looking to join, startup costs can vary. Every business requires investment, however, it is important to always be wise when making investments. With that being said, you should remember that the reason you are looking for an online opportunity is to make money, it’s hard to make money if you are spending all of it just to get started.

4. Do the products or services add value?
One important factor to consider that is often overlooked is whether the products or services offered through the opportunity are valuable to people. It is really important that the opportunity that you are thinking about joining adds value in some way, shape, or form. An opportunity that does not offer any real value (products or services) is known as a “Pyramid” or “Ponzi” Scheme. These schemes do not offer any real products or services and many times are illegal operations. Be sure that you are joining an opportunity that offers real products and services that benefit people in some way.

5. Earnings Potential
Finally, the last but definitely not the last thing to consider before joining an online opportunity is the earnings potential. Earnings potential is dependent on the commission structure in place through the opportunity, some are more lucrative than others. It is important to understand how you will be paid before you join any opportunity. Most programs pay on a commission basis for sales or referrals. Try to find a program that offers residual income. Residual income is powerful and allows you to take your earnings to the next level because it allows you to make money over and over again for each sale or referral you make. Another thing to consider if you will be doing some affiliate marketing is the percentage of commission you will make for each product or services sold. Commissions can vary but you want to make sure you are offering a product that is worthwhile so that your commissions are worth the effort.

Getting started with an online opportunity should be an exciting time for you. By following the five steps above you will be able to identify the best online opportunities.

Quick Tips for Building a Business Online

The opportunities to build a business with online marketing are huge and growing every day. In fact, there’s so much opportunity out there some people become overwhelmed by all the possibilities.

When you can do anything, often you end up doing nothing. People get so dazzled by dollar signs and freedom from bosses and geography that it’s easy to forget that what you do for money is often more important than how much money you make.

Here are 10 quick tips for creating wealth, freedom, and personal satisfaction all at the same time based on experienced online business people:

1. Spend time thinking over your creative ideas and invest in careful planning.

2. Decide the goals and vision that matter to you most. Write it down and read it often.

3. Know your goal for now, and know where you want to be for each year to come.

4. Work on one idea at a time. Never splatter out with many ideas. It’s overwhelming.

5. Establish a dotted line of steps to reach short-, medium- and long-term goals.

6. Make sure your dotted lines look like one line and not a spider’s web of tangles.

7. Decide how much personal investment you are willing to give—now and in the future.

8. Determine your life/work balance and make a conscious effort to maintain it.

9. Revisit your vision and plan for business every three months. Adjust to fit.

10. Have a safety net and a Plan B for every potential obstacle you meet.

Building a business on the Internet takes time, a good plan, and a solid foundation. But it’s not necessarily about chasing the next big thing. Just realize that the true opportunities aren’t passing you by, no matter how fast the clock ticks in the virtual world.
